Virginia Cavaliers at Florida State Seminoles Betting Preview

The defending national champion Virginia Cavaliers enter Wednesday night’s conference clash against No. 9 Florida State in an unfamiliar spot. Having lost two consecutive games, Virginia sits in the middle of the Atlantic Coast Conference pack at 11-4 and 3-2 in conference play. On the other hand, Florida State looks like a legitimate contender for the conference crown at 14-2 overall and just a lone, season-opening blemish against Pitt in the season-opener out of their five ACC games so far.

Seminoles Looking to Extend Hot Streak

Florida State enters the contest on the strength of seven consecutive victories, six of which have been by double digits. The Seminoles also boast an 8-0 record on their home floor, however Florida State hasn’t faced an opponent with a higher RPI than Clemson (RPI: 103) in a home contest this season.

Florida State has about as balanced an offensive attack as you’ll find in college hoops. Three Seminoles guards are averaging double-digit scoring on the year, with Devin Vassell (12.2 ppg), Trent Forrest (12.2 ppg) and M.J. Walker (11.6 ppg) leading the way. Forrest, a senior, has been the facilitator on the offensive end with a team-best 3.9 assists on the year.

The Seminoles aren’t too shabby on defense, either, allowing only 63.4 points per game, which ranks sixth in the ACC. Four opponents have broken the 70-point threshold against Florida State this year, so there certainly has been a level of inconsistency to their game. However, by averaging 76.4 points per contest on the offensive end, the Seminoles are able to mitigate that defensive inconsistency with a balanced offensive attack.

Cavaliers Hoping for Spark to End Skid

After a 9-1 start to the year, Virginia has come up short in three of its last five games, including a pair of surprising consecutive losses to Boston College and Syracuse. Tony Bennett’s crew doesn’t have any truly impressive wins on the season, either, with only a victory against previously No. 7 North Carolina as the lone win over a ranked opponent, and UNC has certainly fallen on hard times since then. Virginia isn’t playing at a championship level this year, and will likely be in for a rude awakening in their most difficult matchup of the year.

The Cavaliers aren’t going to wow you on offense, in fact it’s quite the opposite on that end of the floor. Virginia is averaging 55.7 points per game, which ranks 351st out of 353 eligible Division 1 basketball programs. While Bennett-coached teams are never confused for offensive juggernauts, this year’s bunch has struggled mightily to score points.

Virginia’s defense has held opponents to just 48.7 points per game, the only team in the country to give up less than 50 points on average. The issue for the Cavaliers has been their splits in wins and losses. In four losses this season, the Cavs are allowing 65.5 points per game. While that number isn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination, it pales in comparison to the 42.5 points Virginia has allowed in 11 wins on the year. For a team that struggles mightily to put the ball in the basket, the Cavs rely heavily on the nation’s best scoring defense to keep them competitive.

Betting Pick

I just don’t think Virginia can muster enough offense to come away with a conference win in a hostile environment against one of the country’s most complete teams. Florida State is battle tested with three wins against ranked foes, and will be able to score more reliably to come away with the win. It’s never easy to pick against a Tony Bennett team, but this is far from his best Virginia squad, and that will be apparent during their third straight loss on Wednesday. I Love Taking CBD While Watching An NFL Game. Here’s Why

Watching NFL games is a part of American culture. The food, the parties, the alcohol and the tailgating are all a part of the game day experience.

For some individuals, it is harder to enjoy the games because of medical conditions or mental states. CBD could be a substance that might help keep the minds of every fan focused to enjoy the game longer.

CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. It is different from marijuana in that it does not contain THC, the hallucinogen that causes the high associated with marijuana.

Due to its close relation to marijuana, people are still a little bit unsure about using CBD oil to benefit their lives. It is being found to produce some positive effects in various circumstances.

CBD can do so much for everyone, NFL fans included. Here are some of the reasons that I love taking CBD while watching NFL games.

1. It Eases Pain

Having aches and pains throughout the day is normal as long as they are not persistent. Pain at any point of the day is a struggle but most can be managed.

Chronic pain that lasts for hours and days on end makes daily tasks difficult. Walking and even getting out of bed in the morning can be tough.

NFL fans who suffer chronic pain might have more trouble sitting down through their favorite team’s games. When watching an NFL game, the last thing you want is to be uncomfortable or in pain.

CBD might help to relieve severe pain and inflammation in some cases. Even chronic pain from arthritis and other conditions seem to be reduced in some users who take CBD consistently.
The aches you feel daily could be lessened with CBD to help you enjoy the NFL game that much more.

2. It Helps Relieve Stress

Watching your favorite team play can often be stressful. You hope for a win, but there is always a chance of losing.

When that other NFL team scores, your stress levels probably skyrocket. Interceptions and dropped balls all make NFL games nerve-racking.

According to CBD Kyro, using CBD oil to help relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety. It helps you to relax to keep you enjoying the game and not worrying about the loss you could potentially experience.

CBD oil might also keep you from worrying too much about the work you have to do after the game is over. Keep your stress low and your excitement high instead while the NFL game is on.

3. It Keeps the Mind Focused

To get the full experience of an NFL game, it is important to be fully focused on it. You don’t want to miss any plays, any flags or any scores during the game because one missed a step and you’ll be lost.

With random thoughts that pull your attention and a smartphone to distract you, it’s easy to miss important parts of the game. CBD oil is being tested for its usefulness with maintaining attention span.

You can stay focused on the game and teach your kids to watch along with you rather than pull you away from the game that you love.

There are so many different types and forms of CBD to try that could help you stay focused on game day. Check out this list of CBD oils by Gift Wits that are available right now and could be the perfect fit for your lifestyle.

Take them as gummies, topical creams, oil droplets or the typical pill to help you enjoy the game a little bit more.

4. It Reduces the Urge to Smoke

Missing parts of the game to smoke is a reality smokers face. They have to not only leave the room but leave the house to get their fix and miss a few good minutes of game time.

Smoking is also a very unhealthy habit that they should quit for their wellbeing and the health of their loved ones. CBD could help smokers quit by simply reducing the urge to smoke frequently and eventually not feeling the need to at all.

Testing is still being conducted to determine its success in this area, but CBD is thought to reduce the urge to smoke drastically. Inhaling CBD seems to work best for this because it offers a very similar feeling without the harmful effects.

Using CBD during the game prevents smokers from having to leave the room to get their fix of an unhealthy addiction. It is much easier to stay involved in the game without needing to leave every once in a while.

If it could boost your health for the long term, it might be worth giving it a shot sooner rather than later.

5. It Helps Reduce Cravings to Keep Snacking

Football fans know that watching the game means eating plenty of delicious snacks. Pizza, wings, potato skins, nachos, chili… the list is endless and everything on it is so tasty.

Some people only enjoy football because of the awesome foods! Going to NFL viewing parties is just an excuse to splurge on the appetizers and meals that wouldn’t typically be served.

The only issue with such delicious snacks is that it is hard to know when to stop eating. While watching an intense game of football, it’s easy to get distracted and keep eating even when you don’t need to eat.

CBD seems to help reduce cravings, making it easier to stop snacking when you aren’t hungry. You can still eat the foods you love but not feel the need to when you are full.

Eating in well-rounded portions is great for maintaining a healthy weight. Even if you aren’t looking to lose weight, CBD can just be useful to keep your eating habits under control.

It is very easy to get carried away on NFL game day, but CBD could be the supplement you need to help control those pesky cravings.

Make watching NFL games more fun and a bit healthier too by using CBD while you watch!

5 Reasons Why Esports Betting Should Be Legal Across the US

Almost every state in America has legalized gambling in live casinos. People love taking trips to place a few bets in hopes of getting a good payout.

While traditional slots and table games are fan favorites, sports betting is now being legalized more widely. Alongside sports betting has come esports betting.

Esports refers to multiplayer video game competitions between professional players. They tend to be high stakes games that people around the world watch, enjoy, and bet on.

Not every state has legalized esports betting. Gambling alone is not favored by all states, so it makes sense that esports would also be a controversial subject.

Despite the backlash, it would be beneficial to legalize esports gambling across the US for these five reasons.

1. Many States Have Already Legalized Esports Betting

States are on their own to decide whether or not to legalize esports betting. Some states have legalized it, but others are a bit hesitant to.

Such states as Indiana, Colorado, and Michigan have already passed laws that allow online sports betting.

In addition to online sports betting, live casinos are also offering sports betting. According to Weekly Slots News, a casino in Indiana right near Chicago recently began to offer sports betting options. With the number of players that are attracted to sports betting, esports would likely have a similar impact. More visitors would go to casinos they’ve never been before and log into online casinos run by their state.

The states that have already legalized esports betting are seeing a huge boost in the industry, making it clear that all states should consider the legalization of esports betting.

2. Legalization Helps Eliminate Corrupted Betting

Anything illegal makes some people want to participate in it more. That leads to unsafe methods of gambling with a lack of protection for valuable bets.

Not only is a player’s money unsafe in an illegal betting situation, but it is welcoming players who are not legal gambling age to participate. Since video games attract a younger crowd, they might get into the industry without realizing it is not legal.

Legalizing esports betting would help to prevent corruption in an industry that is already bringing in billions of dollars to the economy. Rather than risking the safety of bettors, it would help them by bringing in state revenue.

The billions of dollars that esports can bring into the economy go to waste when betting takes place underground. To benefit state residents and keep them protected, legalizing esports betting would make the most sense.

3. It Offers Another Way to Gamble

Spending time in the casino is fun for a while, but the same games over a period of time can get a little boring. Only so many spins on the slots and hands of poker can be entertaining.

According to Lucian Marinescu at Online Casino Gems, “People love spending time at the slots, but sports betting is a new way gambling lover can take a chance at winning big.”

With some casinos opening their doors up for sports betting, casino goers are filling their time with new ways to win. Placing sports bets in live casinos makes watching sports matches all season more fun.

The audience that casinos attract will also grow significantly. While not everyone loves traditional casino games, those who don’t might take a liking to sports betting.
New crowds can lead to more growth of casinos both live and online. States will see the huge impact that esports and sports betting can have through the new attraction that it offers residents.

4. Big-Name Casinos are Offering Esports Betting to Visitors

Not only are small gambling locations taking on the esports betting industry. Big-name casinos are joining the scene, too.

With the rise of esports betting, more players want a taste of it, so some of the hottest and most popular gambling sites are offering esports betting.

Big casino resorts in Atlantic City are accepting esports bets to keep the crowds coming. They are working to attract younger audiences who might be more interested in online gambling instead.

This widens the scope of visitors within state lines and attracts out of state visitors as well. Casinos in other states can also benefit from the flow of visitors that allowing esports betting would bring.

People love sports betting and would be willing to head to a casino to place their bets if it is a local hotspot. Locals won’t have to travel as far to enjoy the pastime that they love with a few friends.

5. It’s Easily Accessible Online

Even though there are so many fun casino locations across the country, not everyone can visit them frequently. They might be far from home or simply dislike the atmosphere.

For the esports bettors that don’t want to take the trip out to a live casino, online casinos are now offering esports betting as well.

According to Gamblers Daily Digest, players can place their bets on their favorite online casinos and receive a payout if the odds are in their favor. Popular online casinos are accessible via computer and mobile devices, putting one of America’s favorite pastimes into the hands of those who live in states where it is legalized.

Once esports betting is legal in every state, all players could have it at their fingertips. This could easily expand the market and increase state revenue while also making players happy.

With the rising popularity of esports betting, more players around the country are looking to participate in it. To keep esports betting safe and regulated, it is a good choice to work toward legalizing it in all states.

Vulnerable populations could be at stake when it comes to unregulated esports betting. Teens under the gambling age and those living outside of a state where it is legal could be putting their possessions at risk.

At the end of the day, legalizing esports betting across the country would keep the industry booming and provide more profits to every state. Appealing to the younger generations who love video games will keep the gambling tradition in America alive.

Best Gift Ideas For An NFL Fan

Football season might just be many Americans’ favorite time of year. Playing in fantasy leagues, hosting Sunday gatherings with chili and wings, going to live games… life can’t get much better!

NFL fans are really committed to their teams. Sometimes to dangerous extremes, but often just to have some fun and support the game they love.

Celebrating an NFL fan’s birthday can be difficult when they already seem to have everything football-related that they might need. Another sports jersey or football to play catch might just collect dust somewhere in the house.

There are so many ways to make an NFL fan happy on their special day without a boring gift. Think of all the items they don’t have that will come in handy during game time!

Any of these fun six gifts will help any NFL fan show their support for their favorite football team.

Football season takes place during some of the coldest months of the year in many locations around America. It seems like no matter how many layers of clothing fans wear to games, they can never shake the chill of winter air.

For the ultimate amount of comfort during an outdoor game, a travel blanket could make a huge difference. They are compact and easy to carry, then unfold into the snuggliest blankets.

Cool Things Chicago found some of the best travel blankets that can make fans cozy at the next game. They work great in those often freezing stadiums!

Even when an NFL fan can’t make it to the stadium, they can still snuggle up in their new blanket at home on the couch. There is no limit to where they can be used, making them a versatile gift for every NFL fan.

The only problem they might have with a gift as warm as this is keeping other people from wanting to use it!

2. NFL Logo Playing Cards

It is important for NFL fans to express their love for their team in every way they possibly can. This also includes game nights when friends come over to visit.

These cards are also perfect for tailgating before the game. It’ll just show their support even more to surrounding fans. They’ll probably be jealous of how awesome the deck is!

Everyone needs a good deck of playing cards, and what deck is better than NFL-themed ones for the biggest NFL fan you know!

3. NFL Building Blocks Helmet

Young and old NFL fans both will love spending time building their own decorative helmet replica for their favorite team.

Fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters can spend a few hours bonding with each other over an NFL building blocks helmet.

With over a thousand pieces, this is a great exercise of teamwork to create an awesome product. NFL fans will have a great time making a helmet that they can use as decor in their den or football watching location.

You can choose their favorite team logo for them to craft. Think of the satisfaction they will have after creating a piece of work for everyone to enjoy.

4. NFL Logo Slippers

While it is always an experience traveling to the stadium to watch a live game, sometimes staying in the comforts of home is the way to go.

Why stop at wearing a sports t-shirt or jersey? NFL fans can wear even more gear, like cozy NFL logo sherpa slippers.

You can give an NFL fan the slippers with the perfect team logo on them to keep them comfortable while watching the game. They can also wear them every day to keep their feet warm at all times.

Slippers are never really exciting unless they depict something you love. NFL fans will no doubt love slippers that show their love for their team.

5. Kool8 Reusable Bottle

We all need to drink. No matter what their favorite beverage is, your NFL fan probably needs a vessel to drink out of while they are out and about.

To stay hydrated at the next NFL game, a Kool8 reusable bottle might be the best option. It can hold any drink, both hot and cold. It is super insulated to keep them perfect all day.

Give them Kool8 in a color that supports their favorite NFL team! The bright color will last for a long time because it is very durable.

Think environmentally conscious and go with Kool8 as a gift for an NFL fan. They will love the modern design and how practical it is for everyday use. They will also feel good keeping plastic waste off the planet.

Bring Kool8 to work, to the game, or stay home and enjoy anything from the sleek bottle. Don’t settle for a gift that isn’t practical. Kool8 is so useful and looks so cool that any NFL lover would be excited to use it.

6. NFL Logo Robe

Who doesn’t enjoy keeping comfortable during games or lounging around in the morning? NFL fans would love to look cozy and feel even more comfortable in an NFL logo robe.

Fans can wrap themselves up in the ultimate plush robe embroidered with the logo of their favorite NFL team. It is perfect for watching the game or for use right after the shower.

Anyone who wears a robe as soft as this will feel like they are living the life of luxury. It would even be fun to wear it during tailgating to have a little fun and make a statement!

Help the NFL fan in your life keep expressing their love for their favorite team with a bathrobe that can keep them warm.

It is probably not very hard to please an NFL fan if you give them the perfect gift they can use during football season. Make them even more excited with a gift they can keep using throughout the year.

Should College Football Players be Allowed to Take CBD Before a Game?

College athletes work hard to represent their institutions positively. They have to balance classes, jobs, and their impossible practice schedules all while staying healthy and fit.

It takes a special individual to be a college athlete. One needs to be passionate about their sport, driven to work hard and motivated to be their best at all times.

All of their responsibilities make it hard to maintain a level head and keep playing their best. It is also common to see athletes lose scholarships due to the poor grades that result from crazy schedules.

To make the lives of college football players a little easier, some universities and coaches are considering allowing them to use CBD before games.

Since it is derived from the same plant as marijuana, CBD use is widely controversial, especially among the athletic community. However, with all of the benefits it might be able to offer, it could be a good idea for college football players.

It Couldn’t Hurt, Could It?

Pain Reduction

Athletes work hard every day, lifting weights in the gym and running across the field. They probably feel the muscle aches and soreness that come along with constant workouts and tackles during practices and games.

The aches and pains they feel likely impact how they play. They won’t be able to run as fast or throw as far with sore arms and legs.

Some users of CBD products have found that it truly helps with pain reduction. Many users enjoy how it alleviates chronic pain from arthritis and could potentially relieve the soreness athletes experience.

To play harder and feel better, college football players need to keep the pain they feel to a minimum. CBD could be the substance that helps them feel better before heading out on the field for a big game.

Just a little bit of CBD before playing can make a huge difference in the way that players feel.

Stress Relief

With everything that college football players are tasked with, it’s no surprise that they have exceeding amounts of stress. They love playing their sport, but also need to make time for keeping up their grades, working a paid job, and maintaining a social life.

Having fun and enjoying free time to themselves is probably at the bottom of an athlete’s to-do list, causing them to stress out about everything else they have to do.

In addition to these stressors, add on the stress they feel to play their best and win for their institution. They are under so much pressure to do well that it isn’t really fair.

One use for CBD that seems to help many users is its potential to reduce the effects of anxiety and stress. CBD can lower heart rate and reduce other signs of anxiety, like shaking that could impact the way they play.

By lowering the stressors they have during game time, players will better be able to keep their heads in the game and play their best.

Long-Lasting Effects

Using CBD could be a positive way to keep players feeling their best for more than just game time. Its effects can last the whole game and carry over into their next few practices or workouts.

According to Healthcare Weekly, the effects of CBD can remain present for an average of 2-6 hours in some users. This length varies depending on a few factors like the method of ingestion and concentration of CBD.

CBD can be taken in many forms, from oil droplets to edible snacks. The forms that go through the digestive system tend to remain in the body for a few days, while inhalation or topical creams might only last for a few hours.

The effects tend to wear off a bit quicker in those who exercise regularly, so athletes might benefit from taking it before every game.

With regular use also comes a longer-lasting impact, so taking it on a schedule could make a good feeling last a little while.

It Could Be Risky

Its Legality is Confusing

One of the biggest turn-offs of CBD is how confusing the legislation for and against it is. It takes a little bit of digging in each individual state to know the status of legality where you live.

According to Daily CBD Magazine, CBD is legal federally but individual states can create their own laws. That makes it difficult for every university to determine if they are able to use it legally.

In order to be federally legal, CBD products have to contain less than 0.3% THC. Despite this, a few states have placed their own bans on any CBD containing products to try to regulate the market.

This makes it difficult for college football players to decide if they should take the chance with the substance. Getting in trouble with the law could lead them to lose their position on the team.

FDA Regulation

While legal at the federal level, a majority of CBD-containing products are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The only product on the market that they regulate containing CBD is a drug for seizures and epilepsy.

The FDA is struggling to decide how to properly regulate products that contain CBD because of the continuous testing being done about it. Without any conclusive results, it is difficult to definitely know if it is a fully safe, reliable method for relieving medical conditions.

The main problem is that since it isn’t regulated, producers can lie on their packaging about the concentration of CBD in all of their products. There are many reliable sellers that properly label their products, but there are also many sellers that do not always tell the truth about the THC content and CBD concentration.

Without regulation, there is no sure way to know what exactly is in the CBD products that you buy. Football players need to be careful about what goes into their bodies to make sure it doesn’t affect their gameplay.

So What Does This All Mean?

At the end of the day, there is no set answer for whether or not college football players should take CBD before games. It can be extremely beneficial for making them play stronger, but like any supplement, there might be some risks.

It will be up to individual institutions to decide if their players should be able to use the supplement to play great on gameday.

AFC Championship Betting Pick: Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs

The AFC Championship Game is set, and this is not the matchup that most people were expecting or predicted. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans in a rematch of a terrific regular season game. Tennessee was able to defeat the Chiefs by a score of 35-32 in that game, but things are different in the NFL Playoffs.

Kansas City finished the regular season with a record of 12-4 to earn a first-round bye. The Chiefs looked rusty in the AFC Championship Game, but would up securing a 51-31 victory over the Houston Texans.

Tennessee entered the playoffs as the number six seed, but they have not played like it. The Titans have picked up impressive road wins over the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens to earn a spot in this game.

The Kansas City Chiefs are -7.0 point favorites over the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game.

Chiefs Need to Fix Some Things

The Kansas City Chiefs shot themselves in the foot on both defense and special teams in the first quarter of their AFC Divisional Round win. Kansas City gave up a blocked punt for a touchdown, and Tyreek Hill muffed a punt. All of that led to a 24-0 deficit, but their defense was able to turn things around in a hurry. The Chiefs were one of the best defensive teams in the NFL over the last 8 weeks of the season, and they certainly played like it in the second half of that win.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a few yards short of throwing six touchdown passes during the win over the Houston Texans. Tight end Travis Kelce was the recipient of three of those touchdown passes, but the Chiefs are absolutely loaded with weapons on that side of the ball. Kansas City scored 51 points in the win, and are capable of another big performance against the Titans.

Titans Will Continue to Run the Football

The Tennessee Titans will slow this game down by running the football, and they have a real weapon in the backfield. Running back Derrick Henry has ran for at least 182 yards in each of the last three games, and he has put this Titans team on his back. The Titans are almost impossible to beat if they can get an early lead, which will be the strategy in this game. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been sharp as well, and is playing the best football of his career.

Even though the Titans have the offense to keep up in a shootout with the Kansas City Chiefs, defense has to be a priority in this game. The Titans have shut down two impressive offenses already this postseason, and they have plenty of confidence. Tennessee will not be afraid to blitz Patrick Mahomes in this game, and their secondary has the talent to slow down the receivers.

Titans Battle, Chiefs Advance to Super Bowl

The Tennessee Titans have already pulled off a pair of stunning upsets in the NFL Playoffs, and they will have a ton of momentum in this game. Tennessee has the best running back in football on their side, but this game will come down to their defense.

Kansas City looked absolutely unstoppable on offense in the AFC Divisional Round, but they made some mistakes early in that game. The Chiefs should be able to put up plenty of points in this game, but finding a way to stop Derrick Henry is a key.

Look for the Titans to keep this one close until the fourth quarter, but they are going to fall short. The Chiefs are just too explosive on offense, and they aren’t losing in Kansas City. Bet the Kansas City Chiefs -7.0 over the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game. Take the Chiefs as the favorite at A1pph.com our favorite pay per head bookie site.

Paul George Out Indefinitely

Clippers star forward Paul George (plus-3.3 Offensive Box Plus/Minus) did not play against the Warriors last Friday due to a hamstring injury.

According to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk, George is dealing with a strained left hamstring.

He originally suffered the injury during a 126-112 win against the Pistons on January 2. PG13 sat out their next game on January 4, a 140-114 home loss against the Grizzlies and he played 26 minutes in a 135-132 win against the Knicks on Sunday.

George, a six-time NBA All-Star, joined the Clippers in a July trade from the Thunder, just when Kawhi Leonard joined the fold, giving them one of the best duos in the league.

Paul George is averaging 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 30.7 minutes over 26 games this season.

PG13 didn't make his debut with the Clippers until mid-November as he was completing his recovery from offseason shoulder surgeries. He hadn't missed more than seven games in a season since 2014-15. Back then the 29-year-old was limited to six games because of a serious leg injury.

The Clippers are already heading toward a playoff berth in the Western Conference, so they can afford to play it safe with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. That said, the more they are on the floor together, the better their chemistry and playoff seed can be.

With George out, the Clippers will use a committee approach to fill his void. Maurice Harkless (minus-1.2 Offensive Box Plus/Minus), Rodney McGruder (minus-2.1 Offensive Box Plus/Minus), Jerome Robinson (minus-4.7 Offensive Box Plus/Minus) and Derrick Walton Jr. (minus-0.2 Offensive Box Plus/Minus) will all see more playing time and it remains to be seen how long will George be out.

NFC Divisional Betting Pick: Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers

After a wild and crazy weekend of Wild Card Round playoff games, it is time to turn our attention the Divisional Round. The Minnesota Vikings were involved in one of two overtime games in the Wild Card Round, and will now travel to San Francisco for a matchup with the top-seeded 49ers. San Francisco was able to rest up and get healthy after earning a bye, but they are playing a team with a ton of momentum in this game.

San Francisco finished the regular season with a record of 13-3 to win the NFC West Division. The 49ers did not clinch the top overall seed in the NFC until a week 17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Minnesota ended the year with a 10-6 record to earn the number 6 seed in the NFC. The Vikings went into New Orleans and stunned the Saints by earning an overtime win in an NFC Wild
Card Round matchup. The San Francisco 49ers are -6.5 point favorites over the Minnesota Vikings in this game.

Cousins Finally Delivers for Minnesota

Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins has struggled in big games during his career, but that was not the case in the Wild Card Round. Cousins completed on a huge deep pass to Adam Thielen to set up the game winning score. Minnesota was a top-10 offense during the regular season, and they were extremely balanced on offense. Running back Dalvin Cook is capable of rushing over 100 yards in this game, and the Vikings will likely need every one of those yards.

The Vikings are also terrific on the defensive side of the football, as they showed in their win over the New Orleans Saints. Minnesota held the Saints to just 20 points in the Superdome, and they will need a similar performance in this game. Defensive end Danielle Hunter should get some pressure in the backfield, but the Vikings will have to stop the run in this game.

San Francisco Defense is Legit

The San Francisco 49ers are extremely deep and talented on the defensive side of the ball. The 49ers racked up over 50 sacks during the regular season, and they will get some pressure on Kirk Cousins in this game. San Francisco gave up less than 20 points per game during the regular season, and they should keep the Vikings at bay in this game. The 49ers will have a plan in place to stop Dalvin Cook as well.

San Francisco wants to run the ball on offense, but they also have a terrific quarterback. The 49ers averaged over 144 rushing yards per game during the regular season, despite dealing with a ton of injuries at that position. The 49ers will establish the run early and then let quarterback Jimmy Garopolo go to work in the passing game. San Francisco is an underrated offense that can score points in a hurry.

49ers Cruise to Divisional Round Win

The Minnesota Vikings stunned the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card Round, but things aren’t going to be as easy against the 49ers. Minnesota loves to run the football, but San Francisco has one of the best defenses in the NFL. The 49ers are going to run the ball right back at the Vikings, and that has been a problem for Minnesota at times this season.

Don’t expect a ton of points in this game, but that will suit the 49ers just fine. San Francisco has been the best team in the NFC all season long, and that is not going to change in this game. Bet the San Francisco 49ers -6.5 over the Minnesota Vikings in this NFC Divisional Round Playoff Game. Take the 49ers at A1pph.com, our favorite pay per head bookie site.

Jean Pascal vs. Badou Jack Recap

We go over what happened in the Jean Pascal vs. Badou Jack fight, part of the Premier Boxing Champions event that took place last Saturday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Pascal (35-6-1, 20 KOs) survived a late scare and was able to win a controversial split decision over Jack (22-3-3, 13 KOs), a two-division champion in what was described as an exciting fight, retaining his WBA and WBC silver light heavyweight titles.

The scores at the end were 114-112 for Jack, 114-112 for Pascal and 114-112 for Pascal.

The bout had terrific back-and-forth exchanges. Jack dropped Pascal in the 12th round and could have finish him off but Pascal proved to be durable and was able to fight his heart out until the end.

“I won this fight. It was a close fight,” Pascal said after the fight. “Badou's a great fighter, but nobody can say it was a robbery. It was a close fight, it was a split decision. But I definitely won that fight because I'm the champ.”

Pascal once again stressed to Jim Gray that he deserved to win.

“I think I was in control the whole fight,” he added. “I kept control of the middle of the ring most of the time. Badou Jack is a great fighter, but I won the fight.”

Jack didn't agree with Pascal, as expected, but he didn't complain. “I don't know, I felt I won the fight,” he said. “But this is my brother, Pascal, he's got a great chin. Maybe he was the better man tonight. I don't know. I thought I was winning, but maybe I'm wrong. I would love a rematch.”

This is what Jack said when asked about wanting a rematch: “Any time.”

Jack was favored at most sportsbooks this time. Pascal was available at between +217 and +230 on the moneyline at the top online sportsbooks. What would the line be in a potential rematch? Can Jack finally overcome Pascal?

Carmelo Anthony Has Season-High in Return to New York

Carmelo Anthony received a warm welcome from the Madison Square Garden crowd and was shown nothing but love throughout Wednesday's game against the Knicks.

Anthony played with the Knicks for seven seasons and he always loved MSG. Last night he shined in New York as usual and this is what he said when he was asked if his No. 7 jersey should be retired by the Knicks.

“I don't know,” Anthony said with a smile. “You gotta ask them.”

Then Anthony laughed and added, “I did glance up at the rafters today during the national anthem. You know, they say in life you've got to envision, so I was envisioning seeing Anthony hanging up there.”

Fans gave Anthony a loud ovation during his introduction and he got ‘We want Melo' chants all night long. After the game, he talked to SNY TV about the reception he received:

“The love was definitely felt tonight. From the fans that was here, just the city as a whole, just being back. I think that feeling is hard to explain but for me to get that kind of ovation, I think I've always had that love from the city. To be back in this building where I spent so many years, that love felt extremely good tonight.”

Melo finished the game with a season-high 26 points on 11-for-17 (64.7 percent) from the field and 3-for-5 from 3-point range (60.0 percent). He also grabbed seven rebounds and had just one turnover but the Trail Blazers lost 117-93 and now they are just 14-21 after five straight losses.

The Trail Blazers may not be winning games right now but Anthony has proven that he still belongs in the NBA. Melo is averaging 16.2 points and 6.2 rebounds in 31.5 minutes over 20 games, becoming an asset to a team that could make the playoffs and surprise opponents.
