Are You Ready to Make Money?

It’s almost time for the NFL.

Despite 2020 being the toughest year for pay per head (PPH) bookies because of COVID-19 and all sports having to be postponed or cancelled, the NFL is expected to play a full season.

Sure, fans won’t be in the stands to begin the season at nearly every stadium, but that’s not going to impact online betting handles. This could be one of the busiest NFL seasons for bookies.

Preparing for the NFL Season

With the NFL regular season almost here – the time to make money is now.

Here are a few steps to follow to prepare yourself for the upcoming NFL season:

1. Communicate with Your Players: Let your players know you’re back for the football season and get them active again. Converting inactive players is easier than finding new players.

2. Build a NFL Promotion: We like offering contests to our clients. Offer an NFL survivor pool to players that make a $250+ deposit before the first Sunday of the season.

Contests are a great way to get players to fund their accounts. Require a qualifying deposit to earn an entry into the contest. You’ll need to add a prize pool, but it’ll be worth it for most bookies.

3. Improve NFL Betting Board: Is your PPH offering NFL props? If not, it’s time to switch. You’ll also want to offer comprehensive live NFL betting markets (in-play).

Live betting and wagering on player props are huge money makers during the NFL season.

You want to offer as many NFL props as possible. It’ll increase turnover. Just make sure you create betting limits for props that are lower than straight bets. Props are a volume market.

Ideally, you want players betting on a large volume of NFL props. You’re going to end up crushing your players from the increased commissions earned on exotic betting markets like NFL props.

4. Start a Marketing Campaign: If you have a marketing budget, now is easily the best time to run an advertising campaign. Reach out to sports betting websites and find out how much they would charge to write a review on their website about your online sportsbook.

You’d be surprised how inexpensive marketing can be in some cases. You’re not going to have ads on the big betting portals with a small budget, but you can get reviews for $50-$250+ on quality sports betting websites. Another benefit when doing this is the SEO value of the links.

Now Is the Time to Make Bank

Make sure you’re prepared for the upcoming NFL season. There’s still plenty of time to switch PPH providers if need be. It’s better to switch now to a service that offers live NFL betting and props.

One thing about the NFL season is it’s over before you know it. If you’re not preparing before the season starts, you’re going to be fumbling around when you should be making money.

With a limited college football season in 2020 (most conferences aren’t even playing), everyone is going to want to bet on the NFL. After a slow start to 2020, things are turning around for bookies.

South Alabama at Southern Miss Betting Preview

The college football season was originally to kickoff in Dublin, Ireland with a Week 0 game between Notre Dame and Navy. But with all the schedule upheaval caused by COVID-19 and conference cancellations, the first FBS game of the 2020 season will feature Southern Mississippi against South Alabama. The contest in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Thursday, September 3 will kick off at 9:00 p.m. ET and be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.

This will be the first ever meeting between the Golden Eagles and the Jaguars. The contest at M.M. Roberts Stadium is expected to allow 25% capacity, or around 9,000 fans.

South Alabama Outlook: New Look Offense

The Jaguars struggled in 2019 going 2-10 with a 1-7 Sun Belt record in head coach Steve Campbell’s second season. They finished 122nd out of 130 FBS teams with just 18.4 points per game while allowing 30.7 points per game on defense. The offense threw for just 158 yards per game while running for 171 per contest.

The Jaguars have a quarterback battle in fall camp as sophomore Desmond Trotter competes with junior-college transfer Chance Lovertich after senior Tylan Morton opted out of the 2020 season. Trotter started four games last season completing 58% of his passes and throwing eight touchdowns to just two interceptions. Lovertich led Mississippi Gulf Coast CC to the NJCAA title last year and both signal callers could see action in the opener.

The Jaguars need to replace Tra Minter who ran for 1,057 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. Sophomore Carlos Davis ran for 269 yards last year while Trotter added 197 in his four games as QB. The top three WR’s are back this year with Kawaan Baker, Jalen Tolbert and Cade Sutherland totaling 72 catches last year for 1,159 yards and nine touchdowns.

On defense LB’s Nick Mobley, Riley Cole and AJ DeShazor are among the top returners. Mobley led the team with 91 tackles last year while DeShazor had 61 tackles, one interception and two fumble recoveries and Cole tallied three sacks among 59 tackles. On the line they need to replace graduated seniors Jeffrey Whatley and Rocel McWilliams who combined for 8.5 sacks in 2019.

Southern Miss Outlook: Pass it Around

The Golden Eagles went 7-6 last season under fourth-year coach Jay Hopson with an Armed Forces Bowl loss to Tulane. They averaged 117 yards per game on the ground and 290 through the air with 26.6 points per game. The defense allowed 26.2 points per game and nearly 350 yards per contest.

The Golden Eagles put three players on the Preseason All-Conference USA team as seniors Jack Abraham, Tim Jones and Ky’el Hemby were honored. Abraham became the third QB in school history to throw for more than 3,000 yards last year as he finished with 3,496 with 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

Jones is on the Biletnikoff Award Watch list for best WR’s after hauling in 73 passes last year for 902 yards. Hemby, a DB, led the team in tackles last year while also securing two interceptions, one less than returning LB D.Q. Thomas.

The Golden Eagles lost RB/WR De’Michael Harris to the NFL draft but Kevin Perkins ran for 547 yards per game, Trivensky Mosley is back from injury and Frank Gore Jr. joins the team as a freshman. WR Quez Watkins was also drafted after 1178 receiving yards and six scores last year.

Numbers to Know from the 2019 NFL Season

Numbers to Know From the 2019 NFL Season

Numbers are everything, and in the world of sports betting, it’s essential to understand that most individuals getting involved in the betting game, whether they are new or old, are moved by numbers. You need to understand that there is no doubt that there are going to be a lot of opportunities, and you can cash in on a big season, especially if you know the past.

While it should be noted that every season is completely different, there are going to be a lot of individuals that are otherwise unable to cash in on the season. Not because it’s impossible, but rather because they are uninformed. It’s very important to always look at past NFL odds history when doing your research.

Now, while numbers don’t tell the whole story, here are some numbers you should be aware of from last season.

$1,500,000

It may be peanuts to most NFL stars, but for the average person, $1,500,000 sounds like a lot of cash, right?

Well, the truth is, that’s how much Cam Newton is getting paid for his bargain bin contract with the Patriots. The former MVP and Super Bowl-contending quarterback will don the Patriots uniform in the post-Tom Brady era and is undoubtedly bearing a lot of burden on his shoulders.

Newton has been an enigmatic force in the league, wavering from ultra-dynamic to confounding, as his rare two-way offensive skills to scramble and throw bombs is often inconsistent. The wild variance at which Newton plays means that most individuals aren’t quite sure how to handicap his performances.

But, without a doubt, players can rest assured that a Newton season with the Patriots will be one for the ages and may be a season that most folks should keep an eye on.

EDITOR’S CHOICE: LOOKING AT PAST COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING NUMBERS

1,540

That’s the number of rushing yards for Derrick Henry, the seemingly superhuman running back for the Tennessee Titans, in 2019.

With astounding underdog victories over the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots in the playoffs last year, Henry powered the Titans to an AFC title run that fell short in the second half of their game against the would-be champion Kansas City Chiefs.

We all know it’s no secret Henry has cemented himself as a fixture in the modern league. The Titans have also shown that they have the potential for Super Bowl contention when quarterback Ryan Tannehill minimizes mistakes. As well, he needs to make the must-make third-down throws.

Keep an eye on Henry and the Titans as they are undoubtedly out to prove that 2019 was no fluke and could be on the radar of many free sports picks.

36

In 2019, Lamar Jackson led the league with 36 passing touchdowns. Combined with his virtually unstoppable dual-threat capability, he looks primed to redeem what was an otherwise disastrous playoff game against the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee made the seemingly invincible Ravens look extremely mortal on that day.

The Ravens are the second most-favored squad in the AFC at 7-to-1 to win it all, only behind the Chiefs. They are a team to watch when betting the 2020 NFL season.

If you’re looking for a fair value wager with a lot of upside, the Ravens definitely deserve a look.
