• Nevada – Nevada has had legal sports betting for decades. In-person and online betting is available.
• Delaware – The first state to introduce legal sports betting after the Supreme Court decision in 2018.
• New Jersey – New Jersey was instrumental in getting sports betting legalized and allows in-person and online bets.
• Pennsylvania – PA sports betting has been possible since 2018, and online sportsbooks are allowed in the state.
• Mississippi – Only in-person betting is permitted here for now.
• West Virginia – WV became the fifth state to legalize sports betting in 2018 and allows all forms of sports betting.
• New Mexico – In-person betting is the only form of sports betting allowed in New Mexico at the moment.
• Rhode Island – Rhode Island has allowed in-person betting since 2018, and online betting launched a year later.
• Arkansas – Sports betting is limited to in-person bets at one of three retail locations in Arkansas.
• New York – The first legal sports bet was placed in New York in 2019, and the state recently made online betting legal too.
• Iowa – Legal sports betting launched in Iowa in 2019. Both online and in-person bets are permitted.
• Oregon – Oregon has had legal sports betting since 2019, with the state lottery launching a sports betting app.
• Indiana – In-person and mobile betting are allowed in Indiana, although prop bets on college sports are restricted.
• New Hampshire – New Hampshire is one of the few states that only offer online betting with no retail sportsbooks.
• Illinois – In 2020, legal sports betting finally arrived in Illinois. Betting on Illinois college teams isn't permitted.
• Michigan – Casinos and sports betting launched at the same time in Michigan in 2020, with Detroit offering two land-based casinos.

• Colorado – Colorado has allowed in-person and online betting since 2020.
