5. What points are given in an NBA game?
Teams can score either one, two, or three points with each shot.
One point is awarded for free throws, which players are awarded after a player fouls while shooting. Two points are awarded for any shot that is made inside the three-point line and three points are awarded for any shots made beyond the three-point line.
6. How long is an NBA game?
NBA games last for forty-eight minutes.
Each game is divided into four quarters. There is a break after the first two quarters. At the end of the four quarters, the team that has the highest number of points wins the game.
A five-minute overtime session decides the winner if there is a tie at the end of the four quarters. If there is still a tie after those five minutes, the teams continue to play until one team is ahead on points.
