1959 (NFL): Jim Brown rushes for 178 yards and 5 touchdowns in the Cleveland Browns 38-31 victory over the defending champioin Baltimore Colts. The Browns were 7½-point road underdogs
1996 (NBA): Allen Iverson and Ray Allen make their NBA debuts in the Philadelphia 76ers 111-103 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks were 1-point road underdogs as Iverson had 30 points on 12-for-19 shooting and Ray Allen had 13 points with two 3-pointers. Iverson would go on to win the Rookie of the Year Award after averaging 23.5 points, 7.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
2008 (College Football): After blowing a 19-point first half lead, #6 Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree 28-yard touchdown catch with one second remaining gives the Red Raiders a 39-33 victory over #1 Texas. Texas Tech was a 3½-point home underdog and the last second touchdown plus extra point moved the game over the total of 71 points. The two teams entered the game undefeated at 8-0.
