1982 (NBA): The Cleveland Cavaliers snap a then NBA record 24 game losing streak with a 132-120 overtime victory against the Golden State Warriors. Cleveland was a 11½-point road underdog as Ron Brewer led the way for the Cavs with 33 points. The streak spanned two seasons and started on March 19, 1982.

1983 (Boxing): Marvin Hagler defeats Roberto Durán by a 15-round unanimous decision. Hagler was a -300 favorite as he improved to 58-2-2 and defended the middleweight championship.

1984 (College Football): #6 Miami (FL) blow a 31-0 3rd quarter lead and lose to Maryland 42-40. The Terrapins were 7½-point road underdogs. Maryland quarterback Frank Reich came off the bench to throw for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns. 8 years later Reich would lead the Buffalo Bills to rally from a 32-point deficit against the Houston Oilers in a wild card playoff game - it remains the largest comeback in NFL history.

2012 (College Football): As a 13½-point road underdog, #15 Texas A&M defeats #1 Alabama 29-24. Freshman Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel, who would go on to win the Heisman Trophy award a month later, rushed for 92 yards and passed for another 253 yards with 2 touchdowns. It was the only loss of the season for the Crimson Tide as they would go on to win their 3rd National Championship in 4 years.
