1991 (NBA): At the 41st All-Star Game in Charlotte, NC - Charles Barkley wins the All-Star MVP after scoring 17 points and grabbing 22 rebounds to lead the East to a 116-114 victory over the West. The East were a 3½-point underdog and the game stayed well under the total of 277 points. Barkley was +1000 to win the All-Star MVP as his 22 rebounds were the most in an All-Star Game since Wilt Chamberlain also had 22 in 1967.


2002 (NBA): Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant returns to his hometown of Philadelphia for the All-Star Game and takes away MVP honors after scoring 31 points to lead the West to a 135-120 victory over the East. The West covered as a 1½-point favorite and the game stayed just under the total of 256 points.


2012 (NBA): New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin scores a game-high 38 points and outduels Kobe Bryant in the Knicks' 92-85 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. New York was a 4-point home underdog and the game stayed under the total of 185 points. Lin was 13-of-23 from the floor and had 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Bryant finished with 34 points and 10 rebounds.
