1990 (NFL): Derrick Thomas sets the single-game sack record with 7 but it's not enough as the Kansas City Chiefs lose 17-16 to the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks were 6½-point road underdogs and the game stayed under the total of 38 points. 4 of the sacks came in the 4th quarter and it was nearly 5 on the final play of the game but Dave Kreig escaped and ended up hitting Paul Skansi for a 25-yard touchdown to win the game.
2000 (College Football): #1 Oklahoma erases a 10-point 4th quarter deficit to beat #23 Texas A&M 35-31. The Sooners failed to cover as 10-point road favorites and the game went over the total of 51 points. The go ahead score for OU happened with 7:18 left in the game after Torrance Marshall's 41-yard pick 6. The Sooners would go on to win the BCS National Championship, defeating Florida State 13-2 at the Orange Bowl.
2007 (NFL): Darren Sproles returns the opening kickoff for a touchdown and returns a punt for a touchdown less than 9 minutes later in the San Diego Chargers' 23-21 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. The Chargers were 3½-point home underdogs and the game stayed under the total of 47½-points. The touchdown returns were the first touchdowns of Sproles' NFL career.
