1973 (Golf): Jack Nicklaus wins his 4th PGA Championship and 12th major championship to pass Walter Hagen for most on the all-time last after shooting a final round 3-under 69 and coasts to a 4-stroke victory over Australian Bruce Crampton. Entering the tournament, Nicklaus was the co-favorite with Tom Weiskopf at +500 to win the tournament. Nicklaus would go on to finish his career with 18 major championships - still tops on the all-time list.


2007 (Golf): At Southern Hills CC in Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tiger Woods wins back-to-back PGA Championships and 4th overall with a 2-stroke victory over Woody Austin. Woods, who entered the tournament as the favorite at +300 to win the tournament, improved to 13-0 in major championships when holding at least a share of the 54-hole lead.


2008 (MLB): The Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers combine for 36 runs to tie an American League record in the Red Sox 19-17 victory. Boston was a -150 home-favorite as the game sailed over the total of 11 runs. The Red Sox scored 10 runs in the bottom of the 1st and fell behind 16-14 in the 7th inning but would take the lead for good after Kevin Youkilis's 8th-inning 3-run homer.


2012 (Olympic Basketball): Entering the game as a 20-point favorite, the U.S.A. Men's team defeats Spain 107-100 in the gold medal game at the London Olympics. The U.S. entered the Olympics as a -714 favorite to win the gold medal as Kevin Durant led the way with 30 points and 9 rebounds.
