1990 (NFL): Joe Montana passes for career highs of 476 yards and 6 touchdowns in the San Francisco 49ers 45-35 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The 49ers were 5½-point road favorites and the game flew over the total of 46 points. Jerry Rice tied an NFL record with 5 touchdown receptions as he caught 13 passes for 225 yards.

1998 (MLB): In terms of series prices, the San Diego Padres pull off the biggest upset in MLB playoff history after defeating the Atlanta Braves 5-0 in Game 6 to clinch the National League Championship Series. The Padres were +200 road underdogs for the game and entered Game 1 as +300 series underdogs. Sterling Hitchcock gave up 2 hits over 5 innings and the San Diego bullpen did not allow a hit over the final 4 innings. The Padres would go on to get swept by the New York Yankees in the World Series.

2003 (MLB): The Florida Marlins put up 8 runs in the 8th inning and go on to defeat the Chicago Cubs 8-3 in Game 6 of the NLCS and force a Game 7. The Marlins were +220 road-underdogs and the game went over the total of 7 runs. The 8th inning rally will live in infamy for Cubs fans as Steve Bartman reached for a foul ball and deflected a possible catch by Cubs outfielder Moises Alou that would have been the second out of the inning. The Marlins would go on to win Game 7 the next night as they entered Game 1 of the NLCS as +170 series underdogs.
