1973 (Boxing): Muhammad Ali improves to 41-1 after defeating Joe Bugner in a 12-round unanimous decision. Ali was a -700 favorite in the fight that took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center.


1999 (NASCAR): Jeff Gordon wins the Daytona 500 for the 2nd time in 3 years. He entered the race as the favorite at +300 as he became the first pole sitter to win the race since Bill Elliott in 1987.


2009 (NBA): All-Star Saturday Night at US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ - New York Knicks guard Nate Robinson upsets defending champion Dwight Howard in the final round of the Slam Dunk Contest. The 5'9" Robinson entered the contest at +300 while Howard was the odds-on-favorite at -200.
