1970 (MLB): In one of the most famous moments in MLB All-Star Game history, Pete Rose bowls over Cleveland Indians catcher Ray Fosse in the 12th inning to score the deciding run in the National League's 5-4 victory over the American League at Riverfront Stadium. The NL were a -140 favorite for the game as Fosse's career would end early due to the collision.
1973 (Golf): At Troon Golf Club (later changed to Royal Troon) in Scotland, Tom Weiskopf goes wire-to-wire to win the Open Championship by 3 strokes over Johnny Miller and Neil Coles. This was first and only major championship for Wiskophf, who entered the tournament at +1000 to win the title. Jack Nicklaus, who finished 4th after shooting a 7-under 65 in the final round, entered the tournament as the favorite to win at +350.
2019 (Tennis): Novak Djokovic saves 2 match points in the longest (by time) Wimbledon final in history and defeats 8-time champion Roger Federer 7-6, 1-6, 7-6, 4-6, 13-12 in 4 hours and 57 minutes. Djokovic, who won his 5th Wimbledon title and 16th major championship, was a -190 favorite for the match and entered the tournament as the +150 favorite to win the tournament.
