1991 (NHL): In the first round of the NHL playoffs, the St Louis Blues become the 8th NHL team to come back from a 3-1 series deficit by defeating the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2, in game 7. The Blues entered as -700 favorites to win the series as they went on to lose to the Minnesota North Stars in the next round, 4-2.

1996 (NBA): The Chicago Bulls become the first team in NBA history to record 70 wins in a regular season after defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 86-80. The Bulls failed to cover the spread as 13^½-point road favorites. They entered the playoffs at -400 to win the NBA Championship and would go on to defeat the Seattle SuperSonics in the NBA Finals, 4-2.

2006 (MLB): For the first time in franchise history, the Colorado Rockies lose a game 1-0 at home when they fall to the Philadelphia Phillies. Brett Myers got the win, going 7⅔ innings and Tom Gordon picked up the save. The over/under was 11^½ and the Rockies were -122 favorites.
