1968 (AFL): With one minute remaining in the game and the New York Jets leading the Oakland Raiders 32-29, NBC cuts away from the game so that the children's movie 'Heidi' can air on time. The Raiders, who were 8-point road favorites, would score twice in the final minute to get the miracle cover and win 43-32. The first of those unseen touchdowns was a Daryle Lamonica to Charlie Smith 43-yard pass and then the Raiders recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff to score twice in a span of 9 seconds.
2001 (Boxing): Lennox Lewis reclaims the heavyweight title from Hasim Rahman after a knockout halfway through the 4th round. Lewis was a -320 favorite for the rematch. Rahman had knocked out Lewis 5 months earlier in what was only the 2nd loss of Lewis' career. The fight is perhaps more known for the prematch scuffle between the two fighters while promoting the fight on ESPN's Up Close on August 30th.
2007 (College Football): As a 24-pont road underdog, Louisiana-Monroe defeats Alabama 21-14. The Crimson Tide outgained the Warhawks by 127 yards but turned the ball over 4 times.
2011 (NFL): Tim Tebow makes his first prime-time appearance and scores the game-winning touchdown on a 20-yard run with 58 seconds remaining in the game as the Denver Broncos defeat the New York Jets 17-13. The Broncos were 6½-point home underdogs and the game stayed under the total of 38½-points. Tebow was 9-for-20 with 104 passing yards and carried the ball 8 times for 68 yards.
