1994 (College Football): #4 Alabama ends #6 Auburn's 21-game unbeaten streak with a 21-14 victory in Birmingham. The Crimson Tide were 1-point underdogs and the game stayed under total of 38 points. Alabama quarterback Jay Barker had 1st half touchdown passes of 74 and 49 yards to lead the Crimson Tide to a 21-0 halftime lead.

2004 (NBA): 'Malice at the Palace' - with 45.9 remaining and the Indiana Pacers leading the defending champion Detroit Pistons 97-82, a fight broke out between the two teams after a hard foul by Pacers forward Ron Artest on Pistons center Ben Wallace. After the fight was over a fan threw a drink from the stands at Artest who charged the (wrong) fan to spark a massive brawl between the players and fans that lasted several minutes. The Pacers covered as 5-point road underdogs (sportsbooks have different rules regarding games that do not finish but the Westgate SuperBook requires an NBA game to complete 43 minutes of play to be graded). Artest was suspended for the rest of the entire season and teammate Stephen Jackson was suspended 30 games. The incident led to increased security between players and fans and limitted the sales of alcohol at games.

2005 (College Football): #1 USC survives a scare against #16 Fresno State with a 50-42 victory to extend their winning streak to 33 games. The Trojans failed to cover as 23½-point home favorites and the game went well over the total of 64 points. USC tailback Reggie Bush had 513 all-purpose yards, including 294 yards rushing and touchdowns of 45 and 50 yards.
