2005 (Boxing): 40-year old Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins improves to 46-2-1 after defeating Guyanese-British fighter Howard Eastman in a 12-round unanimous decision. Hopkins, who was an overwhelming -700 favorite to win the fight, set a (at the time) middleweight record of 19 straight title defenses.

2006 (NASCAR): Jimmie Johnson wins his first Daytona 500 and 19th career race. He was +800 to win the race as he led for 24 of the 203 laps. A crash on turn four of the final lap led to the 11th (and final) caution. This led to the field being frozen and the order of finish being determined where the drivers were at the time of the caution.

2011 (NBA): LA Clippers rookie Blake Griffin jumps over a car to defeat JaVale McGee in the final of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest over All-Star Weekend. Griffin was a heavy -400 favorite to win the contest.
