1980 (Boxing): 21 year-old Thomas Hearns wins the WBA welterweight title after knocking out Pipino Cuevas of Mexico 2:39 into the 2nd round. Hearns was a -150 favorite for the fight as he improved to 29-0.


2007 (MLB): For only the 2nd time in MLB history 8 or more runs are scored in the same inning by each team when the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees each score 8 runs in the 2nd inning. The game went well over the total of 9.5 runs as the White Sox were +210 road underdogs and would go on to win the game 13-9.


2014 (MLB): In their 11-5 victory over the Colorado Rockies, the Detroit Tigers become the first MLB team in 8 years to score in each inning they came to bat. The Tigers were -215 home favorites and the game went over the total of 9 runs.
