2000 (Golf): At Valhalla GC in Louisville, Kentucky - Tiger Woods becomes the first man since Ben Hogan in 1953 to win 3 majors in a calendar year after defeating Bob May by 1-stroke in a 3-hole playoff. Woods entered the tournament as the favorite at +150 to win the title.


2001 (MLB): Ken Griffey's inside-the-park walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning gives the Cincinnati Reds a 5-4 victory over the St Louis Cardinals. The Reds were +130 home underdogs.


2005 (MLB): As +240 road underdogs, the Kansas City Royals end a 19-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics. It's the longest losing streak of the 21st century and was the longest streak since 1988 when the Baltimore Orioles lost 21 games to start the season. The Royals finished the season with a franchise-worst 56-106 (.346) record.
