1979 (NFL): The Pittsburgh Steelers win their 3rd of 4 Super Bowls in the 1970's with a 35-31 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The Steelers covered as a 3½-point favorite and the game went way over the total of 37 points. Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 318 yards and 4 touchdowns.
2007 (NFL): In the AFC Championship game, the Indianapolis Colts overcome an 18-point deficit to defeat the New England Patriots 38-34. The Colts were a 3½-point home favorite and the game went over the total of 47 points. Colts running back Joseph Addai's 3-yard touchdown with 1 minute left put them in the lead for good. Indianapolis would go on to defeat the Chicago Bears 29-17 in Super Bowl XLI in Peyton Manning's first Super Bowl appearance.
2018 (NFL): As a 3-point home underdog, the NFC's top-seed Philadelphia Eagles blow out the Minnesota Vikings 38-7 in the NFC Championship game. The game went over the total of 39 points. Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles, who took overer for starter Carson Wentz late in the regular season after Wentz blew out his knee, threw for 352 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Eagles became the first team in NFL playoff history to reach the Super Bowl after being home underdogs in both the Divisional round and Conference Championship.
2021 (Soccer): Liverpool's 68-game unbeaten streak at home in EPL matches comes to an end after losing to Burnley 1-0. Burnley, who hadn't defeated Liverpool on the road since 1974, was a +900 underdog. The only score of the game came on a penalty goal by Ashley Barnes in the 83rd minute. Liverpool's unbeaten streak at home came up 18 games short of Chelsea's 86-game record that happened from 2004-2008.
