1969 (College Football): #12 Michigan ends #1 Ohio State's 22-game winning streak with a 24-12 victory. The Wolverines were 15-point home underdogs as Bo Schembechler became the only first-year head coach in Big 10 history to win a conference title.


1986 (Boxing): At 20 years, 4 months and 22 days, Mike Tyson becomes the youngest fighter to be crowned heavyweight champion of the world after winning by TKO 2:35 into the 2nd round over Trevor Berbick. Tyson was a -300 favorite for the fight as he improved to 28-0 in his young career.
