2007 (MLB): 41 year-old Greg Maddux picks up the win to improve to 10-9 and becomes the 1st pitcher to win double digit games in 20 straight seasons in the San Diego Padres 14-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Padres were a slight -105 road favorite as Maddux went 7 innings and gave up 3 runs.
2008 (Basketball) At the Beijing Summer Olympics - the Men's U.S. team defeats Spain 118-107 to win the gold medal. The U.S. failed to cover as 20½-point favorites as Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 27 points off the bench. Kobe Bryant came up big down the stretch and scored 20 points for the game.
2009 (MLB): The Colorado Rockies defeat the San Francisco Giants 6-4 in 14 innings after Ryan Spilborghs becomes the first player in Rockies history to hit a walk-off grand slam. The Rockies were -160 home favorites and the game went over the total of 9½-runs despite the game being tied 1-1 after 13 innings.
