1987 (MLB): Pinch-hitter Rick Manning's 10th-inning walk-off single scores the winning run in the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 victory over the Cleveland Indians but keeps Paul Molitor, who was waiting in the on-deck circle to bat next, from getting another at bat for a chance to extend his 39-game hitting streak. The Brewers were -180 home favorites as the hitting streak remains the longest in the big leagues since Pete Rose's 44-game streak in 1978.


1991 (MLB): Bret Saberhagen throws a no-hitter in the Kansas City Royals 7-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox. The Roayls were -140 home favorites as Saberhagen got some help from the hometown scorer in the 5th inning when a Dan Pasqua double was changed to a Kirk Gibson error. Saberhagen struck out 5 and walked 2 on 114 pitches.


2017 (Boxing): Floyd Mayweather Jr improves to 50-0 after defeating MMA fighter Conor McGregor by TKO in the 10th round. Mayweather was a -500 favorite for the fight as McGregor was making his professional boxing debut. Mayweather reportedly took home $280 million for the fight while McGregor earned $130 million.
