1994 (Olympics): At the Winter Olympics held in Lillehammer, Norway - Sweden wins its first Gold Medal in Men's Ice Hockey after defeating Canada in a shootout. Sweden was a -170 favorite for the game and entered the Olympics as the favorite at +180 to win the Gold Medal. Magnus Svensson's goal with just under 2 minutes left in regulation tied the game up at 2-2 and the game went to a shootout after a scoreless overtime. 20-year old Peter Forsberg scored to start the 7th round and goaltender Tommy Salo stopped Paul Kariya's attempt to clinch the victory.


1998 (NBA): The Portland Trail Blazers fall to the Indiana Pacers 124-59. The Pacers covered as a 3½-point home favorite and the game pushed the total of 183 points. The 65-point margin of victory is the 2nd largest in NBA history (Cleveland defeated Miami 148-80 on 12/17/1991). The Pacers outscored the Trail Blazers by double digits in each quarter, including by 24 points in the 4th quarter.


2011 (Golf): At the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship - Englishman Luke Donald defeats German Martin Kaymer 3&2 in the final. Donald was an even money underdog for the match and entered the tournament at +3000 to win the event. The final round format changed from previous years as it was shortened from 36 holes to 18 holes.


2016 (NBA): Stephen Curry's 32-foot 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left in overtime gives the Golden State Warriors a 121-118 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game was a push as the Warriors were 3-point road favorites and the game went over the total of 233½-points. Curry finished with 46 points and was 12-for-16 from beyond the arc. Golden State, who erased a 12-point deficit in the 4th quarter, improved to 53-5 on the season.
