2003 (NBA): #1 overall draft pick LeBron James makes his NBA debut in the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-92 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Cleveland failed to cover as 11½-point road underdogs as James scored 25 points and added 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals.


2014 (MLB): The San Francisco Giants win their 3rd World Series in 5 years after defeating the Kansas City Royals 3-2 in Game 7 of the Fall Classic. The Giants were +125 road underdogs and the game stayed under the total of 7 runs. Giants starter Madison Bumgarner won the World Series MVP after winning Games 1 & 5 and then picking up the save in Game 7 as he pitched the final 5 innings giving up no runs and only 2 hits. San Francisco entered the season at +2500 to win the World Series.


2018 (NBA): Klay Thompson set the NBA single-game record hitting 14 3-pointers in the Golden State Warriors 149-124 victory over the Chicago Bulls. The Warriors were 11-point road favorites and the game went over the total of 227 points. Thompson, who scored 52 points in the game, broke the record of 13 treys previously set by his teammate Stephen Curry 2 years earlier.
