1974 (Boxing): "The Rumble in the Jungle" - Muhammad Ali regains the heavyweight title in Kinshasa, Zaire after knocking out previously unbeaten George Foreman 2:58 into the 8th round. Ali was a +250 underdog for the fight as he improved to 45-2.
2013 (MLB): The Boston Red Sox celebrate a World Series title at home in Fenway Park for the first time since 1918 after defeating the St Louis Cardinals 6-1 in Game 6 of the Fall Classic. The Red Sox were -113 favorites and the game pushed the total of 7 runs. Boston was +2800 to win the World Series entering the season and was a -140 series favorite against the Cardinals.
2019 (MLB): The Washington Nationals win their first World Series after defeating the Houston Astros 6-2 in Game 7 as the road team won all 7 games for the first time in World Series history. The Nationals were +125 road underdogs and the game went over the total of 7½-runs. In terms of series prices, Washington pulled off the 3rd biggest upset in World Series history (behind only the 1946 Cardinals and 1990 Reds) as they were +195 series underdogs. The Nationals started out the season 19-31 - the worst record of any eventual champion through 50 games - and were as high as +6600 to win the World Series during the season as they entered the regular season at +1600 to win it all.
