1990 (MLB): Texas Rangers ace Nolan Ryan picks up his 300th career victory in an 11-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. The Rangers were -120 road favorites as the 43 year-old went 7⅔ innings and struck out 8 to improve to 11-4 on the season. Ryan would finish with 324 wins during his 27-year career.


2010 (MLB): Carlos Gonzalez becomes the 5th MLB player to complete hitting for the cycle with a walk-off home run in the Colorado Rockies 6-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs. The Rockies were -155 home favorites and the game went over the total of 9 runs. The 24 year-old Gonzalez would go on to lead the National League in batting and finish 3rd in NL MVP voting.


2016 (Golf): At Baltusrol in New Jersey - American Jimmy Walker shoots a 3-under 67 to win the PGA Championship by one stroke over defending champion Jason Day. Walker entered the start as a 125-1 longshot to win the tournament as he went wire-to-wire and needed a 3-foot par putt on the final hole to avoid a playoff.
