1985 (NFL): Dan Marino passes for 4 touchdowns and sets the record for the most yards in a non-overtime NFL playoff game with 421 yards in the Miami Dolphins 45-28 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC championship game. The Dolphins covered as 10-point home favorites and the game went over the total of 44 points. The Dolphins would go on to lose 38-16 to the San Francisco 49ers in what turned out to be Marino's only Super Bowl appearance.


2007 (NFL): In an NFC Wild Card game, Tony Romo mishandles the snap on what would have been the go-ahead field goal allowing the Seattle Seahawks to hang on for a 21-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The Seahawks failed to cover as a 2-point home favorite and the game stayed under the total of 48½-points.


2014 (College Football): In the last BCS National Championship game, Heisman Trophy Award winner Jameis Winston tosses a 13-yard touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin with 13 seconds left to give top-ranked Florida State a 34-31 victory over #2 Auburn. The Seminoles failed to cover as an 11-point favorite and the game stayed under the total of 68 points. Florida State rallied from a 21-3 second quarter deficit as the final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter saw 24 points and 3 lead changes.
