1967 (Boxing): In a heavyweight unification bout, Muhammad Ali wins a 15-round unanimous decision over Ernie Terrell. Ali was a -400 favorite for the fight as he improved to 28-0 in his professional career.

2005 (NFL): Super Bowl XXXIX at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida - the New England Patriots win back-to-back Super Bowls after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21. The Patriots failed to cover as 7-point favorites and the game stayed just under the total of 47 points. New England wide receiver Deion Branch caught 11 passes for 133 yards and was named Super Bowl MVP. The Patriots remain the last team to win back-to-back Super Bowls.

2011 (NFL): Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas - the Green Bay Packers defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25. The Packers covered as a 3-point favorite and the game went over the total of 45 points. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 304 yards and 3 touchdowns. Green Bay joined the 2005 Steelers as the only #6 seeds to win the Super Bowl.
