1975 (College Football): Kansas ends #2 Oklahoma's 37-game unbeaten streak with a 23-3 victory. The Jayhawks were 22-point road underdogs as the Sooners turned the ball over 6 times in the second half. Oklahoma hadn't lost in over 3 years - a 20-14 loss at Colorado.


1992 (NBA): The Sacramento Kings defeat the Los Angeles Lakers on the road for the first time in 43 games with a 124-114 victory behind 29 points from Mitch Richmond. The Kings were 9½-point underdogs. They hadn't won at the Great Western Forum since October 20, 1974 when the Kings franchise was based in Kansas City and Omaha.


1997 (Boxing): Evander Holyfield defeats Micahael Moorer after ringside physician Flip Homansky decided Moorer could not continue the fight between the 8th and 9th rounds. Holyfield was a -270 favorite as he avenged a loss to Moorer 3½-years earlier.
