1984 (NBA): In the NBA All-Star Game played in front of 34,275 at the Kingdome in Seattle - SuperSonics forward Tom Chambers leads all scorers with 34 points and is named the All-Star MVP as the West win 154-149 in overtime over the East. The West were a 2½-point underdog and the game went over the total of 264 points. Chambers was a last-minute fill in for an injured Ralph Sampson.
1992 (NBA): All-Star Saturday in Orlando, FL - Chicago Bulls guard Craig Hodges matches Larry Bird's streak of three straight titles in the 3-Point Shootout after defeating Sacramento's Jim Les in the final round. Hodges was the favorite at +200 to win the event.
1998 (NBA): In his final All-Star Game appearance with the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan wins his 3rd All-Star Game MVP after scoring 23 points, collecting 6 rebounds and dishing out a team-high 8 assists as the East win easily over the West 135-114. The East were a 3½-point favorite and the game stayed under the total of 253 points. Kobe Bryant scored 18 points and became the youngest player to start an All-Star game at the age of 19 years and 170 days.
