1970 (NBA): The New York Knicks win their first NBA Championship by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, 113-99, in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The game was considered a pick 'em by oddsmakers due to the uncertain status of injured Knicks center Willis Reed, who would play 27 inspirational minutes on a severly bruised right hip and earn Finals MVP honors. New York entered the Finals as -160 favorites as Walt Frazier scored 36 points and dished out 19 assists in Game 7.

2011 (NBA): The Dallas Mavericks put an exclamation point on their Conference Semifinals series sweep of the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers with a 122-86 beatdown in Game 4. The Mavericks were 2-point home favorites and entered Game 1 as +280 underdogs to win the series. They would go on to defeat LeBron James and the Miami Heat 4-2 in the NBA Finals for their first NBA Championship.
