1970 (NFL): In the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs, the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Detroit Lions 5-0 in what remains as the lowest scoring NFL playoff game in the Super Bowl era. The Cowboys were 3-point home underdogs. They would go on to lose to the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V.

1976 (NFL): The Oakland Raiders end the reign of the 2-time defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers with a 24-7 victory in the AFC Championship game. The Raiders were 4-point home underdogs. They would go on to defeat the Minnesota Vikings 2 weeks later to win their first Super Bowl in franchise history.

1999 (NFL): Running back Marshall Faulk catches 12 passes for 204 yards in the St Louis Rams 34-12 victory over the Chicago Bears. The Rams covered as 10-point home favorites and the game stayed under the total of 46½-points.
