Paul George Out Indefinitely

Clippers star forward Paul George (plus-3.3 Offensive Box Plus/Minus) did not play against the Warriors last Friday due to a hamstring injury.

According to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk, George is dealing with a strained left hamstring.

He originally suffered the injury during a 126-112 win against the Pistons on January 2. PG13 sat out their next game on January 4, a 140-114 home loss against the Grizzlies and he played 26 minutes in a 135-132 win against the Knicks on Sunday.

George, a six-time NBA All-Star, joined the Clippers in a July trade from the Thunder, just when Kawhi Leonard joined the fold, giving them one of the best duos in the league.

Paul George is averaging 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 30.7 minutes over 26 games this season.

PG13 didn't make his debut with the Clippers until mid-November as he was completing his recovery from offseason shoulder surgeries. He hadn't missed more than seven games in a season since 2014-15. Back then the 29-year-old was limited to six games because of a serious leg injury.

The Clippers are already heading toward a playoff berth in the Western Conference, so they can afford to play it safe with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. That said, the more they are on the floor together, the better their chemistry and playoff seed can be.

With George out, the Clippers will use a committee approach to fill his void. Maurice Harkless (minus-1.2 Offensive Box Plus/Minus), Rodney McGruder (minus-2.1 Offensive Box Plus/Minus), Jerome Robinson (minus-4.7 Offensive Box Plus/Minus) and Derrick Walton Jr. (minus-0.2 Offensive Box Plus/Minus) will all see more playing time and it remains to be seen how long will George be out.
